Registration

Entry Fees

The base entry fees for the championships are:

  • $250 – WTSC (Includes Tea Break & Buffet Lunch)
  • $300 – WESPAC (Includes Tea Break & Buffet Lunch)
  • $80 – Akwaaba (Early Bird) Challenge (Includes Tea Break & Buffet Lunch)
  • $100 – Last Chance Qualifier (Includes Tea Break & Buffet Lunch)
  • $120 – Sika (Gold) Challenge (Includes Tea Break & Buffet Lunch)
  • $80 – Sankofa (Invictus) Challenge (Includes Tea Break & Buffet Lunch)
  • $80 – Adinkra (Hearts) Challenge (Includes Tea Break & Buffet Lunch)

The above fees will be increased by $30 after July 31, 2025.

Players accepted after the close of registration on September 30, 2025 must pay a $50 late penalty

Registration is computed based on when (West African Time) funds are received in full. If you are not paying right away online when you register but paying via SWIFT, please be sure to allow enough time for your payment to reach us.

Payment Options

These are the following payment options are available:

  • . Make an online payment to SCAG – We recommend that you notify the Local Organising Committee so that we can mark you as paid.
  • . Transfer the funds via wire transfer – Contact the Championship Committee for instructions and recipient information.

Payment Options

If you register for the WESPA Championship but do not qualify, you will automatically be moved to the WESPAC Challenge events being held in parallel with the WESPA Championship. Your payment will automatically be applied. You will be required to make up any shortfall in payment, any excess will be refunded.

If you register for the WESPAC Challenge events but qualify for the WESPA Championship via the Last Chance Qualifier, you will automatically be moved to the WESPA Championship. You will be required to make up any shortfall in payment, any excess will be refunded.

Rules, Code, and Terms/Conditions

All the Championship events will be played to WESPA Rules V5.1 or the latest version of the Rules at the time of the championships. Some slight variations may apply for the WTSC due to its nature and format, as there has not been a concrete set of WESPA Rules governing team championships in the past. However, whatever changes that may apply will be communicated to the WESPA Committee well ahead of the WTSC for review and approval.

By registering for the WTSC and WESPA Championships, you agree to abide by the tournament rules and any WESPA Code of Conduct.

Games at this tournament - probably the top WTSC & WESPAC boards without a Gibsonized player - will be annotated and/or streamed live. If you refuse to play a designated game with annotation or streaming, you will forfeit it and may at the director s discretion be assigned a spread penalty of 200 points.

Changes

The Local Organising Committee reserves the right to modify the above to account for unforeseen special circumstances

Equipments

The host will provide all equipment required for the Championship. This will include both WESPAC and the WTSC. Players are thus advised to travel light.

SCAG will also be providing WESPAC 2025 branded packs to players which will include pens, tracking booklet, a water bottle, and merchandise to commemorate WESPAC 2025.

Hotel bookings at our group rate are subject to availability within our group rate block of rooms and must be booked on or before xxxxx, 2025. The hotel agreed to extend the block availability from the original end date of xxxx, 2025. After that date, rooms may be available at the hotel s prevailing room rates.

Parking

There is ample space for parking at the venue for the period of the Championships.

Visa Information

There are two broad categories of Ghana Visas; those issued outside Ghana and those issued in Ghana. Visas issued in any of Ghanas 56 Diplomatic Missions abroad cover single or multiple journeys for periods between Six months to Five years. Visas issued in Ghana, on the other hand, include Transit Visas, Emergency Entry Visas, Visas on Arrival and Re-Entry Visas.

REQUIREMENT WHEN APPLYING FOR GHANA ENTRY VISA

  • Applicants should be legally resident in the country where Ghana's Mission is sited.
  • Applicant's passport photographs should have been taken not more than three months prior to the date of submission.
  • Applicant should attach a copy of a return ticket or print-out of travel itinerary.
  • Applicant's passport must have validity of at least six (6) months.

An international certificate of vaccination for Yellow Fever is required for travel to Ghana.

Some countries in West Africa [ECOWAS member states] and some other countries in Africa are exempted from obtaining a visa before entering Ghana. Nationals from African Union member states who are not ECOWAS nationals may obtain a visa on arrival after the payment of the required fees.

Airport Information

Accras main airport is the Kotoka International Airport (ACC). The airport consists of two passenger terminals, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Terminal 2 serves only domestic flights, while Terminal 3 serves regional, international, and long-haul flights.
